Although summer can be super fun: no school, hanging out with friends, relaxing in the warm weather, there can also be some really boring days. Hopefully this post will leave you with plenty of inspiration to make this summer boredom-free!
To truly tackle boredom, you need to motivate yourself! Find out which motivation techniques work best for you and do it. Daily to-do lists is something I like to use to keep myself motivated. Now, with motivation in mind, let’s get to the boredom buster list!
- Make Goals + Do Them
Something I find enjoyable is actually making a list of my personal goals every week/month/season/year, however often I see fit. This is not only a healthy habit for yourself, but it also will keep you occupied! I recommend creating a chart to track your goals + how you’re accomplishing them.
2. Try Some Fun Crafts
You don’t need to be a crafting expert to do a few fun crafts! Here are some of my favorite’s!
- Pressed Flower Phone Case (Make this Here)
- DIY macrame earrings (Make this Here)
- String Art (Make this Here)
- DIY Rainbow Macrame Keychain (Make this Here)
Journaling is a great way to express your thoughts and I find it very enjoyable and relaxing! There are all different types of journaling – nature journaling, prayer journaling, bullet journaling, the regular type of journaling your think of… I even have a quote journal!
Exercising is super important for your health and it can be super fun + time consuming (which is something you want when you’re bored!) Here are a few workout videos I particularly enjoy!
5. Do A Bible Study
Doing a Bible study or some devotionals is a great use of your time + it helps you grow closer to God!!
6. Try Hand Lettering
If you haven’t tried hand lettering you totally should! You don’t need tons of artistic ability + it is soooo fun! Here are some links I recommend for beginners!
7. Bake Something
I really enjoy baking! Last summer, I tried to conquer macarons (one of my favorite things to eat!!) And, ( after 10 tries 😬), I finally mastered a couple batches! You definitely don’t need to make something complex like macarons, but it is fun to try a new recipe in the kitchen!
8. Change Up Your Room
Move things around in your room and give it a fresh new look! Add some simple re-decorations like cute posters or shelving!
9. Write A short story
If you’re anything like me, you love to write! I’ve been trying to write this one novel for a long time now (don’t expect anything anytime soon!), but it is sometimes nice to take a break and write a short story instead!
10. Create a wall collage
Creating a fun, aesthetic wall collage can be super fun!! Here is a great tutorial, Here Is a Great wall collage kit, and Here is a great resource for finding aesthetic pictures!
I hope, with this list, you will never be
bored this summer! Thanks for reading!
